日本史を探究！暗記中心の日本史から、資料を読み解き探究する「日本史探究」へ。タレント秋元真夏が高校生たちと江戸幕府の成立について探究！およそ２６０年にわたり続いた江戸時代。幕府が大名を統制するための制度、参勤交代が行われた理由とは？江戸幕府と朝廷の関係を、禁中並公家諸法度から読み解こう！幕府は社会の秩序をどのように維持していったのか？資料から、自分なりの問いと仮説を立て、日本の歴史を探究しよう！

It started in 1990 as the successor program to "High School Course" (1982-1989). In 1991, it was revamped as "Education Seminar: NHK High School Course" to meet the general audience’s need for systematic learning programs. Following the revision of the curriculum guidelines in 2003 and the increase in students choosing correspondence high schools, the title was changed back to "NHK High School Course," and it was broadcast primarily for correspondence high school students at 107 schools nationwide, with the aim of being useful for self-study.
