世界恐慌は各国に深刻な影響を与えた。そんな中、日本は資本主義国の中ではいち早く工業生産力を回復させていた。しかしその恩恵は行きわたらず、モダンガールがもてはやされる都市部と、わが子を身売りしなければならない農村部との経済格差が深刻になった。都市の内部、農村内部の格差も大きかった。そして国内の分断が深刻だったのは中国も同じだった。この時期日中はどのようにして国内をまとめようとしたのだろうか？

It started in 1990 as the successor program to "High School Course" (1982-1989). In 1991, it was revamped as "Education Seminar: NHK High School Course" to meet the general audience’s need for systematic learning programs. Following the revision of the curriculum guidelines in 2003 and the increase in students choosing correspondence high schools, the title was changed back to "NHK High School Course," and it was broadcast primarily for correspondence high school students at 107 schools nationwide, with the aim of being useful for self-study.
